Longboat Key

Recognized for its wide, sandy beaches, golf, boating, tennis, privacy, security and panache, Longboat Key exudes a relaxed sophistication. Connected to metropolitan Sarasota by bridges, access to opera, ballet, theater, symphony, botanical gardens and art galleries is effortless.

Longboat Key stretches 12 sun drenched miles between the Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. Gulf of Mexico Drive, a lushly landscaped main thoroughfare with only two stoplights, divides it down the middle. Properties are available on Sarasota Bay and on the Gulf of Mexico.

The west side of the island is the beach of the Gulf of Mexico. Condominium communities populate the south end of the island. Prices range from $400,000 to $5,000,000. The north end of the island has fewer condos and more private single-family homes. A beachfront cottage may be available for $1,000,000. Larger homes are priced in the $2,000,000 to $6,000,000 range.

On the Sarasota Bay side of Longboat Key, canal and bay front homes with spectacular skyline views of the city of Sarasota can be found from $500,000 to $6,000,000. Condos on the bay side range from $250,00 to $3,000,000.

Longboat Neighborhoods

BAY ISLES

Bay Isles is located on Longboat Key in the gated community of the Longboat Key Club. This neighborhood includes Queens Harbor, Sabal Cove and Corey's Landing. The beautiful designer homes in Bay Isles are single family and range in size from 2200 square feet to over 6000 square feet. There are courtyard homes, maintenance-free homes and some bay front properties. Bay Isles neighborhoods have sidewalks, street lights, lush landscaping, a marina and walking trails. Within walking distance are banks, shops, restaurants, offices, golf and tennis courts. Prices in Bay Isles range from $750,000 to $4.7 million.

QUEENS HARBOUR

Fashionable and elegant, carefree single family homes, nestled securely behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club. Exceptional Golf course, lake, bay or lush harbor views, some with private boat slips. These maintenance free homes were built from 1995-1999. Most units range from 2000 - 4000 sq. feet Relax by your private pool. Luxurious island living. Amenities include sparkling pool, tennis and two car garages. Pet policy has no restrictions. GRAND BAY

One small pet permitted.

COREY’S LANDING

61 maintenance free villas and homes built in 1990 ranging from 2,000 - 4,000 sq. feet. Many feature their own pool and boat dock, others with golf course views. Soaring ceilings, one or two story residences nicely appointed. Community pool, tennis, private Bay Isles Beach Club membership and 2 car garage parking are some of the amenities. Pets allowed for owners.

LIGHTHOUSE POINTE

Lighthouse Point is a very small gated community of magnificent waterfront homes. Contemporary, Key West and Spanish Mediterranean homes can be found side by side in this exclusive community. Homes start at about 5,000 square feet and have a lagoon view or face New Pass. Every amenity possible can be found at the Longboat Key Club including golf, water sports, tennis, jogging/biking trails, marina, restaurants and total privacy. Paver brick streets, palm trees and easy access to the beach complete this wonderful community.

COUNTRY CLUB SHORES

On the southeastern end of the Key, Country Club Shores offers one of the island’s few single-family home neighborhoods. A majority of the homes in this community are single-story and designed reminiscent of the 1950s and 1960s era. Most homes have boat docks and are situated on canals that can accept sailboats and provide direct access to Sarasota Bay. ($450,000 to $5 million+)

TANGERINE BAY CLUB

BAY ISLES "HARBOUR SECTION"

The well maintained one bedroom units in this building, when available, are often the lowest priced properties on Longboat Key. Nice amenities include large heated swimming pool, spacious sun deck, and wide sandy beach. Excellent location is next door to one of Longboat keys major shopping centers.

BEACHPLACE

Comprised of approximately 31 acres, 11 buildings built between 1979-1981. The pool complex, clubhouse and approximately 1,450 lineal feet of beach frontage is the best on the island. The vibrant colors and lush landscaping at Beachplace makes this a very desirable gulf front community. Beachplace consists of 11 six-story secure buildings and is known for its amenities: a guard gated entrance and 24 hour security, a heated junior olympic pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, three tennis courts, a full clubhouse with exercise facilities, and a picnic area with gas grills.

EN PROVENCE

This is one of the most exclusive beachfront condos on Longboat Key. The complex was built in 2002 and is located towards the south end of the island. The units are very large in terms of square footage and have picturesque views. Prices start around $2,250,000.

EMERALD POINTE NORTH & SOUTH

Located in Bay Isles on Longboat Key, Emerald Pointe consists of two separate associations. Emerald Pointe North consists of 6 units. Emerald Pointe South consists of 16 units. Amenities include membership of the Bay Isle Beach Club. Rental policy states that all leases or rental agreements shall be submitted to the Board of Directors. No lease shall be for less than 30 consecutive calendar days, or 1 calendar month, which ever is less and occupancy shall be limited to 2 persons per bedroom. Pets are permissible. No animal of any kind shall be raised, bred or kept within the development, except that dogs and cats may be kept in combination not to exceed 2 in number.

FAIRWAY BAY III (The Atrium)

A lovely this 80 unit complex is located on Sarasota Bay. Amenities include pool, tennis courts, and private beach club/clubhouse membership. Rental applications are board approved and require a $100.00 processing fee. Rental policy states that an owner may rent their unit once in a 12 month period (October- September) for a minimum of 30 days. Dogs are not allowed.

FAIRWAY BAY

This Longboat Key condo complex is very popular because of the magnificent views and great location. This development is made up of mid rises and townhomes. The mid rise units have wonderful views of Sarasota's bay and downtown Sarasota. Residences enjoy the private Bay Isles beach club. Condos here start around $500,000.

HARBOUR COURT

This 18 unit Homeowners Association amenities include pool, tennis court, putting green and boat docks. Owners are allowed to have a bird, fish, one cat, or one dog not to exceed 20 pounds. Renters are not allowed pets. Rental policy states that a unit may be rented for a minimum 90 days. All rental applications are board approved and there is a $100.00 rental application fee.

HARBOUR LINKS

A three building condominium complex located on Longboat Key behind the Bay Isles gates on Sarasota Bay. Amenities include a pool and a spa. Rentals are allowed and require prior approval in writing by the Board of Directors. A written application must be submitted for approval at least thirty days prior to the effective date of occupancy. Pets are permitted by Owners only. The pet restrictions are as follows: only birds, fish, cats and dogs are allowed, two small dogs or two cats, or a combination thereof are allowed, dogs must be a size that allows an Owner to easily carry it in the Owner’s arms.

HARBOUR OAKS

Located within Bay Isles on Longboat Key, this 56 unit complex is comprised of 15 buildings and is located on adjacent to Longboat Key Club Golf Course. Amenities include a pool and membership to Bay Isle Beach Club. The Board of Directors must approve rentals, in writing, prior to the occupancy of the tenant. A $50 non-refundable application fee must accompany each application. No less than the entire unit may be rented and no rental may be for a period of less than 90 days. No animals other than birds, fish, one cat or one small dog weighing no more than 12 lbs may be kept in a unit by the owner. Renters may not have pets.

THE ISLANDER CLUB

Located directly on Longboat Key beach this complex consists of two high rise buildings with a total of 140 units built in 1970 Amenities include an olympic size swimming pool, clubhouse, private balconies, elevators, 2 tennis courts, sauna.

ISLANDS WEST

Built in 1972, Islands West is comprised of one 15 story building with a total of 89 units. Wraparound balconies provide incredible views of the beach, bay and city. Relaxing beautiful sunsets can be enjoyed from your private lanai. Amenities include a pool, clubhouse, 2 elevators, tennis court, picnic area, sauna, exercise room and beach access.

L’AMIENCE

L'ambiance consists of two 10 story buildings on 18 acres of gulf front property. L'Ambience has a clubhouse, gated entry, on-site manager, concierge, pool, spa, and sauna. With the gulf views, golf course, and bay views. Prices range from $2,500,000 and up. This is one of the more sought after Longboat Key condos. It has two 10 story towers on along The Gulf of Mexico. The units have wonderful views of the ocean, bay or golf course. L Ambiance sits on 18 acres behind the gates of The Longboat Key Club on the south end of the island. Prices start around $2,200,000.

LONGBOAT ARMS

This bayfront condominium association is comprised of 2 buildings containing 45 units. Amenities include pool, clubhouse, boat docks and beach access. Leases must be submitted to the Board of Directors for approval at least 30 days prior to rental. No unit owner may rent their apartment for more than two times in any 12 consecutive months, nor rent for a term of less than one month, nor to a person with pets.

LONGBOAT KEY TOWERS

Longboat Key Towers is unique in the fact that the units are "gulf to bay", all offering great all around views. Prices start at around $950,000

MARINA BAY

Located on the bayside of Longboat Key Club in a tranquil bayfront setting overlooking the marina. Spacious floor plans at approx. 3000-3500 sq. ft with terraces and privacy in a wonderful setting. Amenities include Pool, spa, tennis, secure lobby, exercise rooms. 1 pet permitted. Built in 1990

PLAYER'S CLUB

PORTOBELLO

A 69 unit complex on Longboat Key, one building overlooks Sarasota Bay and the other overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Amenities include pool, spa and tennis courts. Pets are not allowed. Rental policy states that a unit may be rented for no less than 30 days and only 3 times in a calendar year. Application fee is $100.00 All applications are board approved.

PROMENADE

The Promenade is a luxurious condominium complex built in 1985 with large balconies overlooking the beach. It consists of one building with 112 units. Amenities include a pool, spa, clubhouse, 2 party rooms, elevators, 4 tennis courts, sauna, beach access and an exercise room. A concierge and on site management as well as a guarded security gate and a secured lobby provide you with both privacy and security. Pets are not allowed.

REGENT COURT

This gated exclusive community features only eight lots enabling luxurious estate homes. Enjoy full gulf views, white sandy beaches, and beautiful sunsets from your private home.

REGENT PLACE

Two exquisite towers on Longboat Key beach, these buildings were built in 1995 and have 36 luxury condominium residences that offer exquisite views.

SEA GATE CLUB

1973 built complex consists of one 15 story building with 90 units. Amenities include a pool, clubhouse, elevator, tennis court and beach access. Pets are not allowed.

SEAPLACE

The 42-acre, gated community is comprised of 461 units in two mid-rise buildings, nine garden buildings with open atriums, and twelve townhouses. Residents enjoy ˝ mile of beachfront; a newly remodeled clubhouse with his & her exercise rooms; swimming facilities consisting of: two swimming pools, one kiddie pool & two spas; three Har-Tru tennis courts; and a one-mile walking trail.

SUNSET BEACH

This is a intimate and quaint, “beach lovers” complex. Built in 1984 with fewer than 70 units, these 3 buildings consist mostly of 2 bedroom units approx. 1300-1700 sq.ft each. THE INN ON THE BEACH

This 221 unit gulf front condominium resort is located on the southern end of Longboat Key behind the gates of Longboat Key Club Islandside. The condominium consists of six buildings, pool, and spa. The resort operates a full service restaurant, concierge services, meeting room facilities, and pool bar.

THE PIERRE

This 66 unit beachfront condo is located on the south of Longboat Key behind the gates of the Longboat Key Club. A luxurious condo complex built in 1990 on one of the most exclusive beaches in the area.

THE PRIVATEER

The Privateer Condominium is located on the Gulf of Mexico, and consists of two buildings containing 116 units. Amenities includes swimming pool, shuffleboard court and is located on the beach.

THE SANCTUARY

This beachfront condo is located on the south end of Longboat Key. It has 181 units and was built in 1990. The condo offers fabulous amenities, a convenient location, and gorgeous views of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. Prices currently start at $2,300,000.

THE WATER CLUB

The direct beach front location of the two eleven story towers make this a distinguished location. Amenities galore including the club house, pool, spas, exercise facilities, ball room, game and media rooms, bar and Concierge. This secure and gated community of 172 exceptional units was built in 1996. The Water Club is truly one of Longboat finest and most prestigious high-rise condominiums on Longboat Key. 2 small pets permitted.

VEINTE

This 20 unit Condominium’s amenities include pool, tennis courts and beach access. No pets are allowed. Rental policy states that a unit may be rented 3 times in a 12 month for no less than 30 days. All rental applications are board approved and there is a $35.00 rental application fee.

VIZCAYA

This Spanish Mediterranean paradise was built in 1997, it is comprised of three 4 story buildings with 32 units. All units have bay, city or beach views. Amenities include a guard gated security gate, secured lobbies, pool, spa, clubhouse, elevators, tennis court, sauna, exercise room, beach access and on site management and support staff. Pets are not allowed.

VILLA DI LANCIA

Mediterranean inspired condominiums built in 1996. Amenities include BBQ Picnic, Club House, Direct Beach Front, Elevators, Fitness Center, Gated Community, Gulf View, Kitchen, Pool, Private Garages, Sauna, Spa / Hot Tub, Tennis. There are five floor plans available in 37 units. The square footage ranges from 2445 sq ft to 2578 sq ft. Two penthouse units have been combined to create one 4918 sq foot unit. Pet allowed.

WINDING OAKS

It houses 28 buildings, constituting 56 units. Its amenities include a swimming pool and access to Bay Isles Beach Club. There are restrictions with respect to leasing, in that no unit owner can lease less than an entire unit or lease a unit for a period of less than one month. During the time a unit is leased, rented or occupied by others, the unit owner shall not have the right to use the common elements and facilities except as a guest of another unit owner or lessee. Pets are permissible as long as they are kept on a leash when in the common elements.
